Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters held his monthly Commissioner’s Meeting yesterday evening at the Chattooga County Courthouse Annex. Winters reviewed actions taken over the past month at the meeting, including an agreement between Chattooga County and the Cooperative Extension Service of the University of Georgia. The county agreed to continue its relationship with the Extension Service providing office space, supplies and equipment along with postage and utilities. The County also provides janitorial service for the Extension office and a portion of the salaries and benefits plus a travel expense. According to the budget expenditure report given by the Commissioner the 2009 Amended Budget shows $44,478.00 for the County Extension Office.
