At last night’s county commissioner’s meeting Commissioner Jason Winters reviewed actions taken by his office over the past month.
The commissioner said that he had re-appointed Probate Judge Jon Payne to another term on the Lookout Mountain Community Services board. The commissioner also signed a service agreement with United Elevator Services to maintain the elevator at the courthouse. The cost is $115 per month and the service includes maintenance and inspections.
The commissioner also accepted two sealed bids over the past month. One for a commercial mower from North Georgia Equipment Sales in Armuchee and another from ACCG for liability insurance.
Commissioner Winters also said that the free garbage day at the Transfer Station was a success and stated that more free trash days are planned in the upcoming months.
AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio will broadcast the meeting today at 12:45 PM and then again on Saturday at 10:15 AM and Sunday evening at 5:30 PM.
