Chattooga County Commissioner Mike Dawson will be presenting the annual budget for 2009 at a hearing this Friday and 10 AM. According to the numbers, beer sales in Chattooga County are up. The county had expected to see a income of $210,000 off beer sales this year and it appears that number will be up by over $10,000. Projections show the county with around $222,600 in beer taxes for 2008. Evidently the poor economy has not caused a cut back in beer consumption. The hearing for the upcoming year’s budget will be held at the courthouse annex this Friday.
