After closing the courthouse in Chattooga County at noon on Monday because of an electrical problem, county officials are planning to re-open the 100 year old building tommorrow for regular business.

Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters told AM 1180 on Monday evening that the electrical repairs at the courthouse would be completed on Monday evening and that just for safe measure the courthouse would not re-open until 10 AM to be sure the heat and lights are working properly.

Earlier on Monday an old fuse panel had failed prompting the closure of the courthouse.  Chattooga County Probate Judge Jon Payne told AM 1180 that the courthouse would be closing at noon on Monday.
