Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin alerts consumers to the recall of a low protein imitation cream cheese product that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Cambrooke Foods®, LLC, Framingham, MA, is recalling all batches of its Low Protein Imitation Cream Cheese (“Cheddar Wizard,” “Herb & Garlic,” and “Plain” flavors) because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in the very young, frail, elderly and those with weakened immune systems.
The company is conducting a market recall of all batches of its Low Protein Peanot Butter™ because it was produced using the same machinery used to produce the Imitation Cream Cheese products.
These products are sold to customers with special dietary needs. The products are distributed directly to consumers and to a limited number of distributors in the United States and Canada.
Consumers with questions should contact Cambrooke Foods® at (866) 456-9776, ext. 1015, or e-mail them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
