If you live in Georgia and have an issue regarding identity theft, then starting today you can freeze your credit with the three credit reporting agencies for $3.  Under a bill that was signed into law by Gov. Sonny Perdue in May, Georgia residents can prevent credit agencies from releasing information about their credit without written permission.  The new law cuts the cost by about $7 per credit reporting agency and anyone 65 or older can place the freeze in affect for free.
