THE BARTOW COUNTY JURY HEARD AN ATLANTA TELEVISION STATION’S INTERVIEW WITH SAM PARKER DURING DAY-7 TESTIMONY IN HIS MURDER TRIAL.  PARKER TOLD REPORTERS THAT THE INVESTIGATION OF HIS WIFE’S DISAPPEARANCE WAS QUOTE, "ABSOLUTELY DESTROYING MY LIFE".  THAT WAS, OF COURSE, BEFORE HE WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH THE MURDER OF HIS ESTRANGED WIFE, THERESA.

HE SAID THEIR IMPENDING DIVORCE WAS WORKED OUT… "IT WAS A DONE DEAL", HE SAID… AND ADDED THAT HER DISAPPEARANCE HAD QUOTE, "PUT HIM IN LIMBO."
TESTIMONY ALSO INCLUDED AN AMAZING RANGE OF PLACES THAT HAD BEEN SEARCHED FOR THERESA PARKER IN THE DAYS AFTER SHE WENT MISSING. FBI AGENTS WERE DISPATCHED TO A SEASIDE RESORT IN MEXICO ON A TIP. OFFICERS CHECKED BUS LINES, AIR FLIGHTS, HOSPITALS AND MENTAL HOSPITALS… REMOTE LOGGING ROADS AND FARM PONDS.

SAM PARKER’S FRIEND AND CO-WORKER BEN CHAFFIN WAS OFFERED IMMUNITY FROM PROSECUTION IF HE COULD TELL WHERE THEREA’S BODY MIGHT BE FOUND.  A GBI AGENT TESTIFIED THAT CHAFFIN OFFERED SEVERAL POSSIBILITIES… BUT NONE OF THEM LED TO THERESA PARKER.

THE EIGHTH DAY OF THE SAM PARKER MURDER TRIAL CONTINUES TODAY IN WALKER COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT.
