Chattooga County residents have several opportunities to help with toy or monetary donations this year. Georgia State Trooper Jamie Mitchell is heading up the local effort. He sayd there are donation boxes all over the county and jars to collect change will be set up at random locations through tomorrow, December 15.

Local 4-H youth will distribute the toys. Toy donation boxes are located at Farm Bureau in downtown Summerville; Cell Phone Repair at the Walmart Shopping Center; Summerville Chiropractic; Regions Bank; Summerville First Baptist Church on Georgia Street; Pleasant Hill Baptist Church; Ledford’s Pharmacy; Suggs Grocery Store at the Triangle Shopping Center; Southeast Federal Credit Union in Trion; Lucky’s in Lyerly; United Communtiy Bank on Lyerly Highway; and Ingles in Summerville. 

Monetary Donations will also be accepted and all donations are tax deductible. Mitchell reminds that all donations received in Chattooga County will go to children in Chattooga County.
