According to the Dekalb County Alabama Road Department Supervisior Tom Broyles, it appears the county has been denied, in an appeal for disaster assistance – Broyles says the requested funding would have been used to repair roads damaged by the heavy rains and ice earlier this year and the turn -down now puts the road department in a difficult position. The department only has a limited amount of money available to fix roads, and with the problem being so widespread, they`ll have to make hard choices, when it comes to deciding where to put those funds – Broyles says they`ll simply have to do the best they can until more money becomes available
