The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department in Ft. Payne is adding charges to two people who were apprehended with the help of the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department after fleeing from DeKalb County.

Charles Allen Dodd, 32, of Leesburg, and Charlotta Lynn Davis, 50, of Cartersville, Ga., were arrested earlier this month and booked into the DeKalb County Jail where they remain on over $79,000 bond each. 

Dodd is charged with 36 counts of third-degree degree burglary, five counts of first-degree theft of property, 20 counts of second-degree theft of property, 10 counts of third-degree theft of property and first-degree criminal mischief.

Davis is charged with 36 counts of third-degree burglary, five counts of first-degree theft of property, 20 counts of second-degree theft of property, 10 counts of third-degree theft of property and first-degree criminal mischief.

The two are believed to have taken part in burglaries in the Cloudland area of Chattooga County as well and face charges here.  Yesterday, DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harriss reported that the two are facing additional burglary charges after investigators found stolen outdoor patio furniture in the possession of the couple.
