Berry College alum and ordained minister Lee Grady will discuss the global oppression of women at 7 p.m. Jan. 27 at in the Krannert Center ballroom at Berry.
Grady, also a journalist and author, founded an international Christian ministry called the Mordecai Project. The project seeks to “confront the global oppression of women; empower women to discover their God-given spiritual gifts and ministries; and equip Christian men, including church leaders, to recognize, value, protect and train the women in their lives.”
During the discussion Grady will confront all forms of abuse including sex trafficking, forced prostitution, domestic violence, female infanticide and denial of education to girls.
The event, sponsored by the Berry College Chaplain’s Office and the Women’s Studies Department, is free and open to the public.
