The annual Chattooga County Domestic Violence Vigil is scheduled at 6:30

p.m. Monday, Oct. 6 at J. R. “Dick” Dowdy Park, Summerville. The group will

gather at the new Veterans’ Memorial.

A flag presentation by Cub Scouts will be held and then a balloon release

before the group will walk to the First Presbyterian Church, P.C.A. on U.S. 27

for speakers and performers.

Local Girl Scouts and Signs of Salvation will perform.

The public is invited to come out and join in the remembrance of domestic

violence victims.
