The Chattooga County Sheriffs Department has arrested two Summerville residents on drug charges. The arrest took place on Thursday March 12. According to the docket records of the Chattooga County Sheriffs Department, 42 year old Amy Marie Snipes of a 945 Orchard Road Address in Summerville along with 38 year old Roger Lamar Snipes of the same address were arrested and charged with Possession, Manufacturing, Distribution of a controled substance which was methamphetamine.
The two were also charged with possession of a firearm or a knife while trying to commit crimes, possession of marijuana less than one ounce and possession, manufacturing, distribution of meth with intent to distribute.
According to the docket records from the Sheriffs Department the two were arrested at 7 PM on Thursday evening and were booked into the Chattooga County Jail at 8:52 PM on Thursday. Arresting officers were listed as M. Howard and J. Reece.
Residents in the area told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio that the new K9 dog that was purchased recently by Sheriff Everett was used during the arrest.
