A small earthquake shook northeast Alabama Friday morning. The quake, which the U.S. Geological Survey measured at a magnitude of 3.2, hit about 9 miles west of Leesburg, Ala. due west of Rome.
The quake occurred at a depth of 3.1 miles. It was felt in the Lookout Mountain and Spring Garden area.
Beverly Daniel, director, Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency said there have been no damage or injury reports at this time.
