Voters in Chattooga County will go to the polls Tuesday to decide the fate of the Education Special Option Sales Tax in the county.  If the measure passes, Chattooga County’s sales tax rate will remain at 7%.  The money would be used to construct a new high school for the Chattooga County School System and a new gym for the Trion City School System.

Voters in Summerville, Menlo and Trion will go to the polls to select new council members.  Trion voters will also decide if "freeport" tax exemption status will be given to Mt. Vernon Mills.  Also Trion voters will be deciding school board races in tomorrow’s election.

Polls will be open from 7 AM until 7 PM on Tuesday.  AM 1180 will have election results as soon as they become available.
