The case of Emory v. Ballenger is expected to get underway today in court in Chattooga County. Local attorney Ben Ballenger has said that the malpractice suite is an attempt to get him disbarred by other local attorney’s in the county, many of which are expected to be called to testify in the proceedings. The case centers on an easement dispute with Ballenger’s former client Gerald Emory.
