The Summerville News reported on Thursday that thirty-three year old Matthew Lee Farmer of Cloudland was in a Georgia Correctional facility in Troup County after a judge revoked his parole. Farmer was arrested after a four hour standoff at his Cloudland residence on Gilreath Mill Road in February of this year.
Farmer and 20 year old Hannah Shea Penley of Rome were in the house trailer on Gilreath Mill Road in February when officers tried to serve a warrant. The standoff resulted in an armored vehicle being brought in and tear gas being used at the scene. While Farmer remains in prison, Penley was charged with obstruction charges and sentenced to one year probation and must pay a $405 fine.
