Today there is a new name for area technical college campuses – Coosa Valley Tech and Northwestern Tech officially become Georgia Northwestern Technical College.  The merger of the schools was approved by the Southern Association of Colleges in December. Summer classes for Georgia Northwestern Technical College begin next Monday, July 6^th.  It is estimated that approximately 16,000 people will benefit from the colleges educational opportunities each year.
