THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* ALL OF NORTH GEORGIA… INCLUDING AREAS NORTH OF A HAMILTON TO FORSYTH TO WASHINGTON LINE.

* THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT

* WIDESPREAD TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED… WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS AROUND 5 INCHES POSSIBLE. THESE AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY CAUSE MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING ON SOME CREEKS AND RIVERS… WITH FLASH FLOODING ON SMALLER CREEKS IN THE MOUNTAINOUS AND URBAN AREAS OF NORTH GEORGIA ALSO POSSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
