THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA.

* THROUGH THIS EVENING

* A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHING THE STATE FROM THE SOUTHWEST WILL SPREAD ABUNDANT MOISTURE ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1.5 TO 3 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA THROUGH THE DAY TODAY.

* WITH SOILS ACROSS NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA VERY WET… CREEKS AND RIVERS WILL NEED TO BE MONITORED FOR RISING WATERS. SCATTERED TO WIDESPREAD MINOR FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED… WITH SOME MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE.
