Police are investigating reports that someone attempted to pass counterfeit $20 bills at least at two separate businesses on Sunday, reports stated.

According to Rome police reports:

The cashier at a service station located at 2000 North Broad Street reported a slightly built blond woman gave him a counterfeit $20 bill and when confronted said she received it in change from another store.

She got into the passenger side of a Ford Minivan and left the business.

A worker at the Bojangles’ at 708 Martha Berry Blvd. reported someone passed a fake $20 bill, but was unsure of what time or the description of the person who gave them the bill.
