An auction to sell the inventory of The Music Room was held Tuesday at the Forum. The first item to sell was a Volvo wagon for 450-dollars. Among the musical items, a Peavy speaker set was the first to go on the block, with the winning bid of 550-dollars.

No one made a bid of 65-thousand dollars for the entire lot. Dempsey Auction Company conducted the actual auction on behalf of Tax Commissioner Kevin Payne. The tax sale was held satisfy liens filed by the Tax Commissioner, Floyd County, and the State of Georgia for delinquent taxes from 2006-2010. The inventory included 3 automobiles, 100’s of musical instruments of all varieties, as well as office furniture, office equipment and electronics, tools, and other types of sound equipment.
