In their regular monthly meeting last night the Floyd County Board of Commissioners issued a statement that dealt with the recent arrest of Floyd County Commissioner Gary Fricks. It states:

The Floyd County Board of Commissioners acknowledges the recent arrest of Commissioner Garry Fricks on various traffic violations. The Board has instructed the County Clerk and County Attorney to review Commission policies to determine if there are any conflicts that might apply in this case. It is the Board’s hope that this situation will not in any way interfere with the daily operation of Floyd County and the business of the Floyd County Board of Commissioners.

Fricks was arrested last week in Gordon County for driving with suspended or revoked license, no insurance and improper tag.  He apologized to the commission last night for the arrest.
