Texting with a cell phone while driving is blamed for accidents.  Law makers have looked at various bills that would ban the practice for teenagers in Georgia and now Floyd County Police are discouraging their officers from the practice.  In fact the Floyd County Police Department is saying that officers should limit cell phone usage to official calls to follow up for calls for backup. Major Mike Brock of the Floyd County Police Department spoke about the new policy at a meeting of the Floyd County Public Safety Committee on Tuesday.
