After some speculation late last week about some wide-spread snowfall in Northwest Georga, weather forecasters have reduced any mention of snow to just a few flurries Monday night and Tuesday night.

Most forecasters think that by the time the colder weather gets to our area most of the moisture will have pushed off to the northeast.  A few days ago weather forecasters were keeping a close eye on the system that is pushing it’s way up out of the Gulf of Mexico.

Since the Blizzard of ’93 anytime a winter weather system comes up from the Gulf of Mexico, weather forecasters keep a close eye on the system.  In March of 1993 Chattooga County saw some of it’s heaviest snowfall in history.
