A former elementary school counselor was arrested this week in Floyd County after she went to the home of a former co-worker and fired a gun. Sgt. Donald Holbrook with the Floyd County Police Department said that the woman, identified as 43 year old Stephanie Williamson gained entrance into the former co-worker’s home by saying she had a “birthday present” for the woman.
When she was in the house, Williamson reportedly fired the gun twice – striking the former co-worker’s step-son in the hand. Williamson was charged with felony aggravated assault, felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, felony first-degree criminal damage to property, felony aggravated and misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct, pointing a pistol at another and carrying a pistol without a license.
