Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters announced that citizens will be able to dispose of debris at the Chattooga County Transfer facility located on Stockade Road on Friday, November 18 and Saturday November 19 for free.  The hours will be from 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. both days.

The one day free dumping is held to help Chattooga County residents by saving them money for a service they would normally have to pay for.

Chattooga County Public Works Director Lamar Canada told AM 1180 that the transfer station would accept up to 10 tires from individuals, but no large truck tires will be accepted during the free trash days.  Also, Canada said that hazardous materials could not be accepted at the transfer station.
