We enter week 2 of region play tonight with both Trion and Chattooga looking for their first region win of the year.  Trion is still searching for their first win of the season after an 0-4 start including a 31-7 home loss last week to Mount Paran Christian.  The Bulldogs will battle another 0-4 team in the Mount Zion Eagles tonight on the road at Mount Zion.  Mount Zion’s defense is giving up an average of 51 points per game this season.  The Eagles lost to Bowdon last week 54-7.  Since joining region 6A in 2008, Mount Zion has only one region victory.

 

Chattooga is sitting at 1-3 on the season after being shut out by Calhoun last week 41-0.  The Indians begin a crucial stretch of subregion games tonight with Sonoraville who is 2-1 on the season and 1-0 in subregion play after defeating North Murray last week 28-21.  This will be the 6th meeting overall between Chattooga and Sonoraville with the Indians leading the series 4-1.
