The Chattooga Indians took on the Sonoraville Phoenix last night at home and gained their 5th win in a row. The game proved a battle between defenses throughout the first quarter. On the first play of the 2nd quarter the Indian Senior Olajuan Blair put points on the board and kicker Lance Buice made the point after for a 7-0 score. The Phoenix answered later in the quarter but did not make the extra point leaving the score at 7-6. The Indian defense made an interception and Senior Senorise Perry ran the ball into the end zone making the final scroe 13-6.
The Trion Bulldogs defeated arch rival Gordon Lee Friday night and moved to 2 and 0 in region 6A. they are 4 and 2 overall. They rolled over Gordon Lee with a score of 7 to 6.
Next week the Chattooga Indians will take on the Calhoun Yellow Jackets at home. Trion is off next week, but on October 16 they will travel to Bowdon to take place in a key region game.
