On Tuesday of this week Alabama voters went to the polls to cast their ballots in primary elections across the state.  A former DeKalb County Alabama Commissioner was nominated as the Democratic candidate for Governor.  Ron Sparks was one of the youngest county commissioner’s ever elected in Alabama and had gone on to serve two terms as Alabama’s Agriculture Commissioner and is now his party’s candidate for governor.  Sparks easily beat out Congressman Artur Davis in the Democratic Primary.  The Republican candidate will be determined in a run-off election.
