According to the 2010 GMAC National Drivers Test survey, Georgia drivers are among the worst in the U.S. Peach state drivers scored a 76.7 out of 100, ranking it the 32nd worst driving state. However, the good news is that the numbers are up from 47th place in 2008 and 2009.

The national average score slipped to 76.2 percent from 76.6 percent in 2009. Of the 5,202 surveyed, 85 percent incorrectly answered what to do when approaching a steady yellow traffic light and many were wrong when asked to answer safe following distances.
