A program that is looking to improve access to medications for people living with HIV or AIDS, Georgia has been given $3 million in federal funds. The money was given from the US Department of Health and Human Services under the AIDS Drugs Assistance Program as part of an application for assistance the state filed last year.

Currently there are about 1,732 names on a waiting list of patients that need assistance.
