A Gaylesville man has been arrested on drug charges – According to Cherokee County Alabama Sheriff Jeff Shaver, 46 year old John Curtis Hudgins, of a County Road 97 address, was taken into custody on Tuesday, following a search warrant being conducted at the residence, by Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Agents of the Cherokee County Narcotics Unit. Agents seized a large box of processed marijuana from the home along with several large growing marijuana plants – also seized were supplies and materials that could be used to grow plants indoors. Hudgins is currently being held in the Cherokee County Detention Facility, on charges of Trafficking Marijuana and also Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree – a bond hearing is pending – the arrest was the result of a lengthy investigation, conducted by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
