A Gaylesville teenager was hurt in a two-vehicle wreck occurring Tuesday morning in Cherokee County.

According to the Alabama State Troopers Post, in Jacksonville – that accident took place at 10:30am on County Road 77 near Barrett`s Chapel Church – and involved a 2009 Chevrolet being driven by 16 year old Samantha Bates of Gaylesville, and a 1999 Chevy driven by Isaac Thacker of a Gadsden address.

No additional information was available regarding the extent of Bates injuries while Thacker escaped injury in the mishap.

Responding to the scene, were members of the Broomtown Fire Department & the Alabama State Troopers.
