A Northwest Georgia man was arrested on Sunday afternoon at his residence in Floyd County on charges out of Tennessee.

According to Floyd County Police, thirty-seven-year-old Elbert Leroy Tate was arrested around 1:30 PM on Sunday on multiple warrants out of Wilson County, Tennessee.  Wilson County is located near Nashville.

Tate has failed to show up to face charges in Wilson County.  Records indicate that four of the warrants were on drug charges and a fifth warrant was issued on theft charges.

Tate was also arrested in Franklin County, Tennessee in September of this year on vandalism and theft charges.

Tate was being held without bond in the Floyd County Jail as a fugitive from justice.
