Georgia Highlands College, fomerly Floyd College, is expected to make a "big announcement" this afternoon.  The college has notified the press that the annoucement would come around 3 PM today.  There is only speculation at this point as to what the announcement concerns.  Some are saying that the announcement could be that the college plans to offer a four year degree.  AM 1180 will bring you more on the announcement when information is available.
