Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio that the bridge on Gilreath Mill Road at Cloudland has sustained damage, but as of yet the extent of that damage is not known.  Winters said that it is possible that the bridge could have shifted from the amount of flood water and the pressure against the bridge. Commissioner Winters said bridge inspectors from the state D.O.T. would be on hand next week to survey the damage to the bridge. The house adjacent to the bridge received major damage during the flood.  The house was used as a weekend residence and the owners have removed all their belongings from the structure according to neighbors in the area.  The back part of the house had the foundation knocked out from under it and collapsed from the flood waters.  There is a good bit of debris in the trees below the bridge.
