PATTY HART, AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS INSTRUCTOR AT GEORGIA NORTHWESTERN TECHNICAL COLLEGE, HAS BEEN HONORED BY THE GOVERNOR’S OFFICE AS A "GEORGIA WORK READY ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR."  THE AWARD STATES THAT MS. HART "ENSURES INDIVIDUALS UNDERSTAND THE VALUE OF WORK READY AND HAVE ACCESS TO BOTH ASSESSMENTS AND SKILLS-GAP TRAINING TO ENSURE THEY ARE READY FOR EMPLOYMENT."  IN ADDITION TO HER WORK AT GEORGIA NORTHWESTERN, MS. HART ALSO SERVES ON THE WALKER COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION AS VICE-CHAIR. 

WHILE WALKER COUNTY HAS NOT YET ATTAINED "WORK READY COMMUNITY" STATUS… CATOOSA AND CHATTOOGA COUNTIES HAVE. GOVERNOR PERDUE SAID "THROUGH THE WORK READY PROGRAM, COMMUNITIES AROUND GEORGIA HAVE RALLIED TOGETHER AND COMMITTED TO DEVELOPE THE TALENTED WORKFORCE THAT BUSINESS DEMANDS."
