A Gordon County teen was sentenced to 25 years in a negotiated sentence.

Alison Mary Gresham, 17, pled guilty to possession of a fire arm by a convicted felon and reckless conduct for the the March 24, 2009 shooting death of her stepfather.

She was also found guilty, but mentally ill on one count of voluntary manslaughter.

Archie Lynn DeFoor, 47, of 1071 Resaca-Nicklesville Road, was found dead of gunshot wounds after deputies responded to a 911 call from the residence.

The girl’s mother also sustained gun shot wounds and was treated and released from Gordon Hospital, according to Gordon County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Robert Paris.

Her sentenced includes serve 18 years incarcerated and seven years on probation.

She is also required to take all prescribed medication and follow any recommendations that are part of her mental health treatment. The court requested she be held in a prison’s psychiatric facility.
