Chattooga County High School Principal Morgan Nugent is thrilled with the success of the Chattooga County high school students who recently took the graduation test. According to Mr. Nugent the increase was across the board in all areas and all classifications of students. First-time junior test-takers passing the GHSGT Math portion was 93.8%/ Nugent said there was a 19 point increase in math scores, over a13 point increase in language scores and in social studies a 5 point increase and in science over a 13 point increase. Nugent said that the scores mean that Chattooga County is moving towards gaining AYP status and that Chattooga High School has shown dramatic improvement over the past year. Nugent credits the hard work of the teachers and the students for the improvements.
