The Georgia State Patrol Post 38 in Rome has released a report on an accident that happened last week in front of the Chattooga County Water District office on old Highway 27 in Trion.  According to the report, Crystal Bates of Trion was attempting to turn left into the parking lot of the Water District Office when her Nissan Maxima was struck in the rear by a 1988 Dodge Ram Pickup driven by Timothy Hatcher of Trion.  Hatcher was charged by the Georgia State Patrol for following to closely.  Bates was transported by Chattooga County EMS to Floyd Medical Center with minor injuries.
