The City of Summerville and the Summerville – Trion Optimist Club will be hosting the annual Halloween walk in Summerville this evening. The event will be held once again this year at the Summerville Recreation Department’s ball fields off of Georgia Highway 114 in Summerville.  The City of Summerville will also be sponsoring a “spook house” the same day.  The “spook house” will open at 6 PM and is free to the public. 

The Summerville Recreation Department says that there is still room for churches, merchants or organizations to set up a booth for tonight’s event.  The walk will start at 5 PM and will go until the last child gets the last piece of candy.  Set up for the event starts at 2 PM.
