The late Dr. Tony E. Warren was remembered Tuesday as a master clinician and compassionate physician, so it came as no surprise to those in the medical community that the new Harbin Clinic cancer facility would be named after him.

The $15 million Harbin Clinic Tony E. Warren Cancer Center is expected to open in April and is located between Floyd Medical Center and Second Avenue.

Harbin Clinic President Dr. Ken Davis said the Harbin board was unanimous in its support of naming the new facility after the pulmonologist who died of lung cancer almost four years ago.
