Are you working or going to school? Do you need an affordable, safe environment for your child? Chattooga Head Start’s full day classroom could be your answer.

The full day classroom offers 11 hours of care, from 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., for a very reasonable price of $22 per week.

Head Start is an income-based program that serves 3 and 4-year-old children.  Services include breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks, qualified teaching staff, and parent involvement activities. Special consideration is given to children who are disabled or homeless.

 

Families interested in applying will be asked to supply the following items: a copy of the child’s birth certificate; proof of income for 2008 (or the past 12 months); TANF and SSI information (where applicable); shot record (form 3221); Social Security numbers for family members; insurance, Peach Care, or Medicaid numbers (where applicable) and a current check stub, or a class schedule (for the full day classroom only).
