The Chattooga County Health Department told AM 1180 News that they have received  a small amount of seasonal flu vaccine and will begin administering seasonal flu shots on a walk-in, first come basis on Tuesday October 20th at 7:30 AM at the health department. The cost for the shots will be $20 and Medicare and Medicaid will be accepted. Nurse Manager Mitzi Smith says they will probably deplete this partial shipment of seasonal flu vaccine quickly but she does expect more later on and will announce it….They are continuing to administer a limited supply of the intranasal H1N1 flu vaccine and has expanded the priority groups able to receive it to healthy people who are 2 through 24 years of age or are from 25 through 49 years of age and live with or care for infants younger than 6 months or are health care 706-857-3471 for details..
