Everyone is concerned about the price of a gallon of gas, but the price of a gallon of milk continues to rise as well. While it might be easy to blame fuel prices for the increase in milk a price, that isn’t the whole picture. According to Scottie Mayfield of Mayfield Dairies the demand for dry milk in India and China has risen dramatically over the past year and American’s are eating a lot more cheese. Mayfield talked with Channel 12 News in Chattanooga and said not to expect the price of milk to go down any time soon.
