The Chattooga County Historical Society will hold their Fall meeting coming up tomorrow at Camp Hamby.  They will have former Chattooga County Sheriff and GEMA Director Gary McConnell as their guest speaker, talking about his new book, “It’s All About The People.”

The Historical Society’s keepsake Christmas ornaments will also be available for purchase at this meeting. The 2018 ornament featured the Summerville Depot while 2019 depicts the Chattooga County Courthouse. Supplies of the 2018 version were sold out and they now have a new supply. Both ornaments will be available while supplies last.

All meetings of the Chattooga County Historical Society are free and open to the public. Membership is comprised of almost 300 families, both from inside and outside the county. Family memberships in the organization are $20 per year and include a quarterly publication. Contact the Society at P.O. Box 626, Summerville or via email at chattoogahistory@outlook.com.
