Two people are facing drug trafficking charges after being pulled over on I-59 in DeKalb County
Ft Payne Police Chief Randy Bynum, stated that officers pulled over a vehicle which was driving erratically, near mile marker 218.
After a brief conversation with the driver officers became suspicious and Drug Task Force Agent Tony Blackwell and his drug-dog were called to the scene.
The K-9 quickly indicated that there were possibly illegal drugs inside the vehicle – and a search turned up approximately 13 pounds of marijuana in a package wrapped as a Christmas gift.
Teddy Lee Knox and Katherine J. Tolliver, both of Houston, Texas – were arrested on charges of Drug Trafficking and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
