A multi-count indictment has been handed down in the case of Robert Timothy Spriggs Jr. The indictment charges the 26-year old Spriggs with murder as well as multiple counts of aggravated assault, armed robbery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment. Spriggs is also charged in the indictment with battery, aggravated stalking, burglary and terroristic threats. Spriggs is accused of shooting and killing 46-year old John Gregory Davis at Davis’ home on Old Dalton Road back on November the 17th. Spriggs allegedly took Davis’ Chevy Blazer and cell phone, and then drove to a home on East Clinton Drive in West Rome. There, he allegedly shot and wounded Scott Sulsberger. Spriggs was taken into custody a short time later about a mile away from the second shooting location.
