A good number of people showed up for the Chattooga County Republican’s monthly breakfast at Pop’s Restaurant on Saturday to hear U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson.

Isakson arrived early and talked with folks about current events but perhaps the most asked questions was about the newly elected Republican Senator from Massachusettes, Scott Brown.  Senator Isakson told AM 1180 that Brown was "someone I can work with.  He has a history in small business and brings that experience to the U.S. Capital."   Also, like Senator Isakson, Senator Brown got his start in the state legislature.

Isakson met with the group on Saturday which included G.O.P. members from Catossa, Chattooga, Gordon and Walker Counties.  Also on hand were County Commissioner Jason Winters and Chamber Director David Tidmore.

Isakson told AM 1180 that he was encouraged with the good turn-out in Summerville on Saturday.
